"El Vocero Hispano" is a Spanish newspaper that is committed to helping raise public awareness in the Hispanic Community since 1993. The paper claims membership in the Associated Press (AP), the National Association of Hispanics Publications (NAHOP), and the National Federation of Hispanic Owned Newspapers (NFHON).The newspaper's goal is to give the Hispanic Community news, entertainment and knowledge of local services and events in an informative and enjoyable manner. The content of "El Vocero" is oriented toward the philosophy of what the Hispanic Community should become, as an important part of this nation.That philosophy has driven "El Vocero Hispano" to be the most widely read and distributed Hispanic paper in Michigan. Its passion is to inform, unite and create a peaceful Hispanic Community in Michigan and beyond. It is the vehicle through which the Spanish speaking residents are receiving news and information to keep them in touch with current events not only locally but nationally and in their home countries as well.The circulation of the newspaper has been audited by the Circulation Verification Council. "El Vocero" publishes 25,000 editions every Saturday and is distributed throughout the state.
