Newspaper giant Gannett Co. Inc., based in McLean, VA and best known for its ownership of USA Today, recently purchased
Clipper Magazine. Gannett’s expansive media presence will benefit Clipper, and this alliance may permit Clipper to expand at an even more rapid rate than it already has, as reported by the Lancaster Sunday News on November 2, 2003. Clipper Magazine, based in Lancaster, PA, is a full-size, four-color, glossy coupon magazine, which mails to over 19 million households in 23 states. Advertisements are sold locally and regionally to serve advertisers within a market. There are opportunities available for half and full pages, as well as blow-in and bind-in inserts. Clipper Magazine also offers a National Supplement, which includes four to eight additional pages in the magazine specifically for national advertisers and direct marketers. Discounted pages may be found in the Supplement. Advertisers have the ability to buy full circulation or group the circulation according to state.
