Vocero Hispano de Massachusetts

Vocero Hispano is the only free weekly Spanish American newspaper being published and circulated throughout Central Massachusetts and statewide by mailed subscription. Vocero Hispano, meaning "Hispanic Messenger," has been in publication since January of 1990. It also has a statewide mail subscription. Its purpose is to provide local news coverage within the Hispanic community. It carries information concerning economy, politics, education, health, entertainment, the world of sports and issues that affect the Latino Community. The Hispanic population is the largest minority group in Massachusetts. According to the 2000 census, there are more than 428,729 Hispanics (12.5% of the total population in MA.) living in the state and the population is growing rapidly. Vocero Hispano newspaper is committed to reaching the Spanish-speaking market. 98% of Vocero Hispano newspapers are pick-ups at nearly 400 locations.The Hispano Vocero de Massachusetts is in the Boston, MA DMA. It is a Spanish language publication designed to meet the specific needs of the Massachusetts Hispanic community.
