Irondequoit Post

Irondequoit is an Iroquois word meaning "where the land meets the waters," a close-knit residential community bordered on three sides by water. Lake Ontario, one of the Great Lakes, lies to the North, Irondequoit Bay to the east and the Genesee River to the west. Since long ago, Irondequoit has been a favorite summer recreation destination with a long history of watersports recreation such as boating and fishing. "A town for a lifetime," Irondequoit was one of the area's first suburbs, featuring established neighborhoods, the Seneca Park Zoo and one of the oldest family-owned amusement parks in the area, Sea Breeze. Irondequoit's Lake Shore Boulevard, with beautiful scenery, hosts this area's annual Soap Box Derby races. Wildlife abounds at "the flats" along the Genesee river and in Durand-Eastman Park. East Ridge Road runs the length of the town and is home to shopping centers, restaurants and businesses, including Irondequoit Mall. Hudson and Titus Avenues are also busy business centers, hosting shopping plazas, stores and restaurants. The Irondequoit Post is in the Rochester, NY DMA. The Irondequoit Post offers ROP and insert advertising opportunities in its daily circulation. Echo Media has direct relationships with over 7,500 newspapers providing tremendous local coverage.
