Highly Recognized Name - Taste of Home - Produces Gift Bags for Cooking School Attendees 07/28/2003
Taste of Home organizes cooking schools two times per year, in the Fall and Spring, in approximately 130 markets during each session. Each full session continues for three months, but rotates markets during this time, making it convenient for consumers to attend the school in the city of their choice. There are an estimated 1,000-1,200 attendees during each school on a nightly basis. Demographics of the attendees are females (98%), primarily ages 35-64 (64%) who own their home and have a median household income of $42,500; 75% live in C&D (rural) counties.

Consumer packaged goods make up the national sponsor list, while Taste of Home organizes a gift bag to distribute to each attendee. Items in the gift bag include Taste of Home Recipe Collection, registration card, product samples and items from local and national sponsors. A total of 320,000 gift bags are distributed during the two sessions combined, and are handed to each attendee upon entrance. Opportunities are available for product samples, as well as free-standing inserts.
